Kayako Pricing in 2026: $1 Per AI Resolution

Kayako now charges $1 per AI-resolved ticket with no published seat fees. Here is how the math works and when it makes sense.


Kayako's Comeback

Kayako has been around since 2001. It went through a rocky period — the product stagnated while competitors modernized. In recent years, Kayako relaunched with a simplified pricing model and AI features.

The new approach: resolution-based pricing. Kayako's public pricing page lists $1 per fully resolved ticket, with no seat fees and no setup fees. If you need the full Kayako One helpdesk platform (unified inbox, ticketing, knowledge base), pricing requires a sales conversation.

Current Pricing

  • AI resolutions: $1 per fully resolved ticket (public list price)
  • Kayako One platform: custom quote — includes the helpdesk plus Kay AI at $1/resolution

You only pay the $1 when Kay resolves a ticket end-to-end without human involvement. Escalations and partial resolutions don't count.

For a team with 300 AI resolutions/month: $300/month in resolution fees, plus any Kayako One platform fee if you buy the full stack.

What's Good

No published seat fees. Kayako's pricing page advertises resolution-based billing with no per-agent charges for the AI layer.

Simple resolution math. One number for AI: $1 per resolution. No tier maze for the public AI pricing.

Established brand. Kayako has been in the help desk space for over 20 years. The product is mature and stable.

What's Not

$1/AI resolution is expensive. That's the same price range as Intercom Fin and Zendesk AI. At 500 AI resolutions/month, you're paying $500/month in resolution fees alone. Classification-based automation at $0.20/message would cost $100 for the same volume.

Platform pricing is opaque. The full Kayako One stack requires talking to sales. You can't self-serve the complete platform price from the website.

Smaller ecosystem. Fewer integrations and community resources compared to Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Intercom.
